the sun is shining!

there are shadows and everything. After about 30 days of straight rain (that is only a small exaggeration), the sun has finally deigned to shine upon Portland! The ground is still really soggy so it is hard to get out there and do the things that need to be done. (hard to do without getting really muddy, which I am still not in the mood for.)

I do want to get my sweet-peas started, though. I've decided I am going to do about 3 or 4 large pots of them and try to grow them up a little piece of trellis or maybe make a bamboo teepee type thing for them to grow up. Then I don't have to worry about double digging dirt that is full of tree roots and bits of iris and who knows what else.
