squirrels are busy in the spring

You again!

You would think they'd be busy doing their squirrel in the springtime things, but they always seem ready to take time from their schedules to give me some attitude.

camellia

I think camellias are (or can be) so beautiful, but I'm glad I can appreciate them in parks or other people's gardens. They get so messy -- especially here after the rain. (don't get me wrong, I have plenty of messy things in my garden, I just don't feel the need for this particular messy, especially when there are such exquisite examples not far away.)

tree buds

This was about a week ago, and this...

red tassels

was yesterday. I'm not even sure what kind of tree this is, but I love the tassel effect!

pinker

I almost didn't include this picture since I still have pink cherry blossoms from LAST YEAR at the bottom of this page, but I'm trying not to let my blog-slacker shame control my actions, so here you have it -- a beautiful blossom fresh from 2007! They're so delicate, and EVERYWHERE right now.
